Greater London Lieutenancy (GLL)
The Greater London Lieutenancy represents His Majesty the King in Greater London, covering the 32 London boroughs. The Lord-Lieutenant and Deputy Lieutenants act as the Monarch’s personal representatives, connecting the Royal Family with the people of London through royal visits, honours, and civic engagement.
The Lieutenancy’s duties include:

Coordinating and escorting Royal Family visits to Greater London

Presenting honours and awards on behalf of the Sovereign

Supporting charities, voluntary organisations and community initiatives

Liaising with local military units, cadet forces and youth groups

Acting as a bridge between individuals, organisations and communities to promote social inclusion
The current Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London is Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE. Both he and his Deputies serve as volunteers, upholding the dignity of the Crown while fostering cooperation and community spirit across the capital.
